Artist Description

guineagenie creates funky and comical artworks in pink and blue hues. Her illustrative works are loosely based on daily life, humor, spiritual aspects, and life through the use of acrylic, watercolor, and digital mediums. Her works provides fun and whimsical cuteness while leaving a mix of irony and juxtaposition in its most fantastical way. Evidently, Illustration and Cartoon style greatly influenced her works. Illustrator Fran Meneses and Animator/Creator Daron Nefcy also played vital roles in shaping her art style.

"Fashionista in the Making" is my RECENT work for my undergraduate Mini Thesis this 2024. The first painting out of three, this solely stands as 2x3 feet, Acrylic on Canvas.
"Good Night, Sleep Tight, Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite!" is my most RECENT work and it is displayed alongside my 2 other paintings for my mini-thesis as an undergraduate. Serving as the 2nd painting, the size is 2x3 feet, Acrylic on Canvas. 2024.
"Before You Go To School" is the third and last painting for my Recent 2024 undergraduate Mini Thesis that also stands in the same size of the other two, 2x3 feet, Acrylic on Canvas.

"Unclouded Intuition" is a 2024 Modelling paste and Acrylic on Canvas work. This 16x20 inches painting was used as my entry for Art in the Park, under Cevio Art Haus last March 2024.
"What Fuels the Passion" 2024 is an Acrylic on Canvas, that stood for 18x24 inches. This was my entry for my organization namely ArterionPH's Women's month exhibit in the same year.
"You Cannot Burn The Witch Away" 2024. An entry for MeatSpace's "Mother's Daughter" exhibit on Pasay, this work was done on 18x24 inches, Acrylic on Canvas. Babae ka, hindi babae 'lang'.

"Mask On" is an Acrylic on Canvas, 16x20 inches painting that served as a personal plate for my Advanced Visual Studies 2 course. It showcases a Figure-Ground technique.
"A House of My Own" 2024 is a watercolor and A3 Illustration board work that also served as a personal plate in Advanced Visual Studies 2. It showcases the Visual Poetry Technique.

"Good bye Jellyfishies!" is my last work for the year 2023. This was my past entry for Cevio Art Haus' PASASALAMAT 2023 exhibit. It stood 2x2 feet, Acrylic on Canvas.
"Hello Jellyfishies!" is a 2023 Acrylic on 12x12 inches canvas. It was a personal art trade with a fellow artist and friend, iammatadoor.
This was an Untitled plate for my Second Year undergraduate course, Techniques 3. It showcased sgrafitto for it's technique. 18x24 inches, Acrylic on Canvas.
